Tom Worlock, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Worlock and husband of Mary Worlock, of Bedminster, Bristol, enlisted into the Cheshire Regiment and then volunteered for airborne forces.
Private Worlock successfully completed his training at Ringway on course 21 or 22 in August 1942. He was posted to 2nd Parachute Battalion.
He went with the battalion on Operation Torch in North Africa.
Pte Worlock died of wounds, accidentally caused, not on active service, on 6 December 1942, aged 37.
He was originally buried at Algiers (El Alia) cemetery and on 30 August 1944 reinterred at Dely Ibrahim War Cemetery, Algeria.
