Thomas Obey Morris was born and lived in Bath. He enlisted into the Royal Engineers and volunteered for airborne forces.
Sapper Morris successfully completed his parachute training at RAF Ringway on course number 35, from 29 October to 7 November 1942. He was posted to 1 Platoon, 9 (Airborne) Field Company, Royal Engineers, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).
Spr Morris was killed in action on 21 September 1944, aged 26, and was given a field burial in the garden of a house 150 yards north east of the church at Oosterbeek, and was re-interred to Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery on 20 September 1945.
