L/Cpl Roy Nunns who attested into the RASC TA at Guiseley 16 September 1937. After the Second World War broke out he was embodied into the Army as a Driver and posted with several units within the RASC before being taken on strength with the 93 Composite company RASC which is whom he ended the war with.
His records state that he was born in Maltby 13 August 1919. He was part of The BEF 29 March to 25 May 1940, before being posted to N. Africa 15 May 1943 to 4 January 1944. He went to NW Europe 14 August 1944 and was reported missing 26 September 1944. However he was later 'relocated' 12 October.
14 May 1945 he took part in operations in Norway and returned home in the August. Roy was released to the Army Reserves 25 April 1946.
