Reginald Mason joined the Army 15 July 1939. He transferred from The 120 Bty 16 Search Light (S/L) RA to The 1st Parachute Battalion and possibly was jump trained on Course 20 at RAF Ringway.
He served with T Coy, 11 Pln in N.Africa where he was wounded in action on 7 December 1942. In Italy he was wounded in action again whilst serving with The HQ Coy. Grenade shrapnel injured wounded him in his upper thigh.
Reginald joined the Reserves 24 March 1946.
