Roger A Lukins served with 2 Para 1966 - 1970. Now lives in Upper Hutt, New Zealand.
He was parachute jumped trained at RAF Brize Norton on course 680 Basic, which started 12 February 1968. This course consisted of 2 jumps from balloon and 6 from aircraft. His instructor noted this about his performance during this training:
"This pupil made steady progress throughout the course and reached the required standard fairly quickly. A little above average pupil".
His Father, Sgt Henry Valentine Lukins served with 9 Para Bn during WW2.
