Rodney James Hastings enlisted into The Parachute Regiment in June 1964.
He was posted to 6 Platoon B Company, the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (2 PARA). He also served with HQ and A Company during his time in 2 PARA.
Corporal Hastings served in Malaya, Borneo, Hong Kong and the Island of Anguilla in the Caribbean.
Cpl Hastings left the regiment in February 1973.
