Private Paul Gorton

Paul Gorton enlisted in July 1999 at Lichfield and completed P Company at Catterick as a member of Arnhem Platoon.

After gaining his parachute wings at Brize Norton, he joined 7 Platoon, C Company, 3 PARA.  At the time, 3 PARA was stationed at Dover, and Private Gorton was subsequently involved in the camp transfer to Colchester.

He deployed to Northern Ireland and Iraq during his service with the battalion.

Pte Gorton was the 3 PARA Inter Company Lightweight Boxing Champion in 2003 and finished his military career in December 2004.
