Second Lieutenant Patrick Crofton Horton, son of George Thomas and Katherine Horton, served with 8th (Midlands) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.
Second Lieutenant Horton died on 21 August 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
