Lance Corporal Norman Ashcroft

Lance Corporal Norman Ashcroft was the son of James and Alice Ashcroft, and husband of May Ashcroft, of Wigan, Lancashire. He served with 2nd Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign as part of 1st Army, during Op Torch.

Lance Corporal Ashcroft died on 30 November 1942, aged 33 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
