Captain Michael Beagley served with the Middlesex Regiment. He was attached to The 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA) to take part in the deployment to Cyprus during the EOKA campaign in 1956.
Captain Beagley died in a fire in the Troodos Mountains, along with his driver Joe Hawker, during Operation Lucky Alphonse on 17 June 1956, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Waynes Keep Cemetery, Cyprus.
