I never served with Mike Forge in 216, but met him a few times in BAOR where he was doing free-fall jumps with the Blue Helmets (the R Signals FF Team). Last met him in Verden in 1977 during a FF demo, when he landed in the car park!

Very sad to hear of his death during the Falklands War. R.I.P. Mike, an Airborne brother, sadly missed.

Mike was my boss at AAC and then again at the helm of the Blue Helmets, He was a great boss, friend, and colleague, he was immensely proud of the endproduct Harrogate produced and was unwavering in his support, firstly as a struggling free faller, then when we next met, I was a PI and a qualified display jumper. He was a qualified pilot and enjoyed both the military and sport side of parachuting
