Michael Farrell enlisted into The Parachute Regiment at Newcastle in April 1980.
He was posted to The 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA). During his military career he saw active service in Northern Ireland and on Operation Corporate in the Falkland Islands. He went with 3 Para to Canada, the USA and Belize.
Pte Farrell left the Regiment in January 1985.
