Louis John Roberts was the son of Louis and Bertha Emlyn Roberts; and husband of Mary Roberts, of Blackheath, London.
He enlisted in the Royal Artillery (RA) and later served with 300th Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery RA.
Bombardier Roberts died on 24 February 1945, while stationed in Italy, aged 33 years and is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
