Private Leslie Kennedy was the son of Daniel Cameron and Margaret Kennedy, and husband of Hilda Kennedy, of Little Harwood, Blackburn, Lancashire. He served with 11th Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 18 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
