Private Leslie Jenner volunteered for airborne forces in May 1945, and was injured on parachute course 181, sustaining a damaged ankle as he was caught in 12 MPH gust of wind during a descent. After recovering he passed Parachute Course 182 at Ringway in Oct/Nov 1945. The report stated:
"Above average performance"
Leslie then served with the 7th Parachute Battalion in Palestine, before leaving the Army in April 1948.
During his time in Palestine, Leslie accumulated a number of photographs, many of which can be seen in this profile.
