Private Leslie Charles Higgins served with the 2nd Airborne Battalion Ox and Bucks Light Infantry and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.
Pte Higgins died on 7 June, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
