Sapper Leonard Dennis Rawlings, son of William and Francis Sylvia Rawlings, of Small Heath, Birmingham, served with 4th Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 23 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
