Private Kenneth Denton, son of James and Amelia Denton, of Deane, Bolton, Lancashire, served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died of wounds on 12 February 1945, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
