Kenneth Carroll, son of Thomas Henry and Violet Carroll and husband of Joan Carroll, of Beddington, Surrey enlisted into the Norfolk Regiment.
Private Carroll volunteered for airborne forces and undertook his parachute training in Italy.
He was posted to 8 Platoon, A Company, The 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion.
Pte Carroll served on Operation Manna in Greece and was Killed in Action, aged 22 on 15 December 1944 and is now buried in Phaleron War Cemetery, Greece.
