Private Joseph William Butler served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion and took part in the 6th Airborne response to the German counter-offensive in the Ardennes, during Winter 1944-5.
Private Butler died on 16 January 1945, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Hotton War Cemetery, Luxembourg.
