Private John R Hanson

Private John Robert Hanson, son of Robert William and Eva Hanson, of West Hartlepool, Co Durham served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Hanson died on 18 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
