Driver John Pitt

  • General Service Medal (to 1962) Clasp medal

John Pitt enlisted into the General Service Corps and then served with Royal Army Service Corps.

Driver Pitt volunteered for airborne forces and was posted to 716 (Airborne) Light Composite Company, Royal Army Service Corps. Although in an airborne unit he did qualify as a military parachutist on course 165 which ran at RAF Ringway from 28 May to 16 June 1945.
