Private John McPhall Wilson was the son of James and Margaret Anderson Wilson, and nephew of Jean Wilson, of Gallatown, Kirkcaldy, Fife. He served with 156th Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 28 September 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
