Corporal John C D Pegg

Corporal John Charles David Pegg was the son of John Hickling and Ruth Pegg, and husband of Kitty Muriel Pegg, of Pontnewynydd, Monmouthshire. He served with 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden as part of HQ Company, Signals Platoon.

He died of wounds on 3 November 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
