Lance Corporal John Bond, son of John and Emma Bond, of Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire, served with 2nd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the North African campaign.
Lance Corporal Bond died on 15 April 1943, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at La Reunion War Cemetery, Algeria.
