Private James Higgins

19 Sep 1944

Private James Higgins was the son of William and Nelly Higgins, and husband of Elizabeth May Higgins, of Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. He served with 2nd Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Higgins died on 19 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
