Colour Sergeant JHG Sinclair served with The East Yorkshire Regiment prior to volunteering for airborne forces.
He qualified as a military parachutist on Course 130 which ran at RAF Ringway from 21 August 2 September 1944 and later served with A Coy, 9th Parachute Battalion.
