Gunner Henry J Patchett

Gnr Henry Joseph Patchett was the son of Harry and Kathleen Patchett of Grimsby, Lincolnshire.

He  served with C Troop, 2 Battery, 1st Airlanding Light Regiment, Royal Artillery.

Gnr Patchett  took part in the glider insertion at the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 22 September 1944, aged 21 years old, he no known grave and is commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery.
