Harold Nuttall, who came from Liverpool, served with 398 (Airborne) Composite Company RASC in the campaigns of North West Europe during 1944-45.
To the troops of 6th Airborne Division, he was better known as the cartoonist ‘Nutty’.
His daily cartoons in the news sheet ‘Pegasus Goes To It!, which were drawn in his ‘spare’ time, were usually based on everyday incidents.
After the war he returned to civilian life as a clerk and his cartoons were published for several years in Pegasus, the journal of The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces.
