Private Harold Frederick Britland, son of Thomas and Jean Britland, of Cromford, Matlock, Derbyshire, served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Normandy campaign.
Private Britland died on 12 July 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Ryes War Cemetery, Bazenville, near Bayeux, Normandy.
