Lieutenant Gordon John Graham, known as 'Lofty', was the son of John and Kathleen Graham, of Nassington, Northamptonshire. He served with 147 Airborne Park Squadron, Royal Engineers during the Palestine campaign.
He was killed whilst attempting to dismantle a mine planted on a railway line near Qiryat Motskin, Haifa. He died on 15 May 1947, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Khayat Beach War Cemetery, Israel.
