Roll Call Corporal George W Howe – 24 September 1944

Corporal George William Howe, son of William and Mary Jane Howe, served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 24 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
