Lance Bombardier George Roland Green, son of George Thomas and Ada Mary Green, of Barnetby, Lincolnshire, served with 1 Airlanding Light Regiment, Royal Artillery. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 23 September 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
