Private George Ernest May, son of Clarence George and Selina Louisa May, of Hendon, Middlesex, served with A Company, 2nd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private May died on 23 September 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
