Corporal Frederick Bott was the son of Thomas Arthur and Amy Elizabeth Bott, and the husband of Iris Joan Bott, of West Kensington, London. He served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion and took part in the Normandy campaign.
Corporal Bott died on 19 August 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Putot-en-Auge Churchyard, at Putot-en-Auge, near Caen, Normandy.
