Private Ernest W Cobb

Private Ernest William Cobb was the son of Ernest and Mary A Cobb, and husband of Iris M Cobb, of Cricklewood, Middlesex. He served with 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Cobb died on 25 September 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
