Lance Corporal Ernest Lynas, husband of Violet Lynas, of Portadown, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, served with 156th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Lance Corporal Lynas died on 25 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
