Donald Carruthers Marsh was granted an emergency commission on 1 August 1942.
He attended parachute course 111A, which ran at RAF Ringway in April 1944, for a refresher course.
Lt Donald Marsh was killed on 12 October 1944, while serving in the Mortar Platoon, 4th Parachute Battalion, after parachuting onto a drop zone at Megara, Greece, during high winds. He is now buried in Phaleron War Cemetery, Greece.
