Private Donald Barrett, son of Robert and May Barrett, served with 156 Parachute Battalion. He parachuted in to take part in the Battle of Arnhem on 18 September (Second Lift), during Op Market Garden.
Private Barrett died 19 September 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
