Lieutenant Desmond Martin Kennedy, son of Francis and Nina Kennedy, of Withington, Manchester, served with 9 Airborne Squadron, Royal Engineers.
He took part in the Palestine campaign and died on 22 March 1946, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
