Dennis Roy Burrows enlisted into The Lincolnshire Regiment during the Second World War.
He volunteered for airborne forces and qualified as a military parachutist on course 124 which ran at RAF Ringway in July 1944.
Private Burrows was initially posted to the Airborne Forces Holding Unit before being posted to The 8th (Midland) Parachute Battalion.
He served in the Ardennes (The Battle of the Bulge), on the Operation Varsity (The Rhine Crossing) and in Palestine.
Pte Burrows was demobbed in April 1947.
