Private David Malcolm

David Malcolm, son of Henry and Jean Malcolm and husband of Margaret Malcolm, of Perth, enlisted in the Royal Army Service Corps and then volunteered for airborne forces.

Private Malcolm successfully completed his parachute training in Kabrit, Egypt, and was posted to 156 Parachute Battalion. He took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).

Pte Malcolm was killed in action on 26 September 1944, aged 25. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
