Private David J F Robinson began his military service with the Leicesters, before transferring to the Royal Army Service Corps. His Airborne service came as part of HQ Coy, Anti-Tank Platoon, 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion.
He parachuted into Normandy, then later took part in 6th Airborne actions in the Ardennes, the Rhine Crossing and then later the land advance to Wismar, before finally serving in the Far East. He was discharged in November 1946.
