Daniel 'Danny' T Morgans was an apprentice confectioner before enlisting in Pontypridd on 20 March 1941 with The Royal Welch Fusiliers.
He was parachute jump qualified at RAF Ringway in August 1942. Danny then became a member of The 6th Bn, T Coy, 11 Pln.
He took part in operations in N. Africa and possibly Italy, before being taken POW during the battle for Arnhem Bridge. At this time he was a War Substansive Cpl and was wounded in action.
Danny was held in Stalag XIB and give the POW number 118753.
It is thought that his wounds may have lead to him having to leave the Army on 16 October 1946.
