Private Cyril Herbert Carter, son of Albert Henry and Annie Carter, of Bush Hill Park, Enfield, Middlesex, served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 25 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
