Private Charles Percy Lewis Needham, son of Charles and Winifred Needham, of Kilburn, Middlesex, served with Signals Platoon, HQ Coy (on detachment from B Coy) 10th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Needham was wounded and captured during the Battle.
Private Needham died of wounds on 2 October 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Becklingen War Cemetery, Soltau, Germany.
