Private Arthur William Notley, son of Arthur Willie and Mabel Evelyn Notley, of Enfield, served with 8th (Midlands) Parachute Battalion as a Trumpeter. He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.
Private Notley died in the UK on 18 June 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Lavender Hill Cemetery, Enfield.
