Arthur Herbert Calvert Baldry served in The Suffolk Regiment during World War II prior to volunteering for The Parachute Regiment.
He qualified as a military parachutist on course 136 which ran at RAF Ringway in October 1944 and subsequently served with the 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion in North West Europe and the Far East.
