Arnold Hulme served with B Coy, 12th (Yorkshire) Parachute Battalion during the latter stages of World War II.
Records indicate that he was enlisted into The Cheshire Regiment prior to volunteering for airborne forces.*
It appears he qualified as a military parachutist on Course 136 which ran at RAF Ringway from 2 to 15 October 1944 and would have served with the 12th Battalion during its remaining campaigns in North West Europe during 1944-45.*
He later moved with the Battalion to the Far East and served with B Company in 6 Platoon.
*Subject to confirmation from Army Service Records.
