Private Albert Fryer, of 8 Para Bn The Parachute Regiment, died on 6 June 1944 aged 20. He is now buried at Ranville Churchyard, Normandy.
Albert was parachute jump trained at RAF Ringway on course 71. This course ran between 5 and 17 July 1943. His jump instructor noted this about his performance: "Average - keen - showed no hesitation"
